Responding to inaccurate local media reports that he had failed Malaita in the provisions set out in the 2015 Budget he had announced in the National Parliament on 2 April 2015, the Minister of Finance and Treasury, the Hon. Synder Rini, yesterday, clarified projects for the Malaita Province to be given attention to by the DCC Government.
He said After the budget is passed, we will re-tender the Northern road which was tendered previously but somehow the contract never got through, so we will re-tender it not for maintenance but for rehabilitation.
