Work on the government’s national oil palm project in Waisisi is now set to begin by the end of this month.
The project will see about 8,500 oil palm seedlings planted in an area of 60 to 70 hectares.
National Oil Palm Coordinator under the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, Mr George Boi told this paper in an interview yesterday that work on the identified land for the project is going well by the landowners, as they are now conducting work on clearing land for seedling transplant.
