“SAN Isidro Christian Care Centre in Visale, North West Guadalcanal has successfully held its 2019 annual graduation over the weekend.
“The graduation began with a procession, followed by a Holy Mass conducted by Retired Bishop Adrian Smith, speeches and presentation of certificates and equipment.
“North West Guadalcanal Solomon Star Stringer John Toki said a total of 15 students have graduated which include 10 males and 5 females.
“Toki said apart from other studies offered the graduates have undertaken studies which include carpentry, agriculture and home economy.
“He said the graduation is very special given not only they get certificates but also specific tools in line with their field of studies.
“For the 15 males, each of them received a too-box loaded with various hand tools for carpentry whilst for the girls, each of them received a singer sewing machine with pair of gardening tools and axe,” he said.
“Toki said those tools were given mainly to help them do whatever they want when they go back to their respective homes.
“He said San Isidro presented those tools with a hope that when they return home, they can use them to benefit their livelihood and their families.”
