Public concerns being voiced over financial worries.
My website www.solomonislandinfocus.com has become something of a magnet for several in the Solomon Islands facing extreme hardship arising from having to be laid off work, or unable to work due to the ongoing but necessary COVID-19 precautionary measures in place at home.
One letter I received today, just about sums up the concerns of many and I will quote it.
“People need help to ensure they can repay their loans to commercial banks and also individual families have financial problems especially in respect of the upkeep or renovation of their homes. Many parents are really struggling, and often failing in paying the school fees for their children in schools across the whole country.”
