Refurbishment of the NRH’s Maternity Ward underway.
Pan Oceanic Bank (POB) recently donated the sum of $100.000 to the National Referral Hospital for the upgrading and refurbishment of the hospital’s maternity ward.
Since that generous and timely donation work has gone ahead quickly and aluminum doors have been installed, walls erected and power points fitted to provide for air conditioning in separate, clean aluminum units where mothers will be able to give birth in privacy and with added comfort.
Reports of over-crowding and poor ventilation in the maternity section of the hospital were made known to the Prime Minister when he visited the NRH quite recently.
The Minister of Health and Medical Services has thanked the POB for its kind donation.
