North Malaita MP delivers on promise

“NORTH Malaita Constituency is wasting no time with its development aspirations.
“Its MP Senley Filualea this week delivered $1 million worth of housing materials to the constituency as he began a major housing project.
“Filualea told the Solomon Star the funds came from $1 million the Government recently paid to each constituency.
“Landing craft Ocean Mary was hired to deliver 4,500 bags of cements, 2,700 steel rods, water tanks for primary schools and one dental clinic unit set for Malu’u Area Health Center.
“The Dental Unit was a government funded facility.
“Filualea said the housing project was the key project for his constituency.
“This is phase one of the housing project,” he said, referring to the shipped housing materials.
“Phase 2 will include the purchase of Lucas Mill to cut timbers for the first 160 houses,” the MP said.
“North Malaita Constituency Project Officer Edwin Suibaea said the housing project was one of the MP’s campaign promises to his people.”
