“It is for local journalist to refresh themselves on their roles in election reporting, as the country is heading for another national general election this year.
“It is very important for Journalists to attend such a refresher training to prepare them for the upcoming general election this year,” President of MASI, Charles Kadamana said.

“The journalists mostly covered some sections in the new Electoral Act 2018, to give them fair idea on what to do during this upcoming election.
“Kadamana said media is the fourth-arm of democracy and so it is important that journalists are familiarized with all these laws, to make sure that everyone played accordingly.
“The MASI president added that it is important to have this training in place for Journalist to attend.
“The Election Media Refresher is part of a series of trainings conducted since 2017.
