Solomon Islands:�� International visitor numbers and expected cruise ship visits
The Minister of Tourism and Culture, Bartholomew Parapolo confirmed during the recent sine die motion presentation in Parliament that about 27,000 international visitors arrived in the Solomon Islands last year.
The Minister explained the figure reflected an 8% growth over the 2017 figure.
�Minister Parapolo went on to say the ministry expects 14 cruise ships to arrive this year with a total passengers of 16,254.
He said already 6 boats visited in the first half of this year.
Furthermore, with the opening of Munda International Airport with the once a week flight, there are increasing number of tourists arriving.
