BREAKING NEWS STORY – PROPOSED BAN ON PLASTICS
It was reported in the Island Sun newspaper today, Friday, 27 April 2018, that the SI Western Province will ban plastics as from July as part of its efforts to be a plastic-free province.
Effective as of July 1, 2018 the Western Province will ban plastic shopping bags in markets and shops .
It is expected a further ban will see the removal of plastic water bottles.
