Radio New Zealand has reported this afternoon, Friday, 781 new Covid-19 infections8 deaths amid a suspected first case on remote island
A positive case of Covid-19 on a remote island in Fiji is being investigated by health authorities as 781 new cases and eight deaths are reported.
As of the 18 August, 539,555 people had received their first dose of the vaccine and 223,987 had got both jabs.
"This means that 92 percent of the target population have received at least one dose and 38.2 percent are now fully vaccinated," Dr Fong, Health Secretary has said.
Fiji now has 21,211 active cases in isolation.

It it noted that Fiji has 92 percent of the target population having had one dose of vaccine and 38.2 percent of the population fully vaccinated.
