“PRIME Minister Manasseh Sogavare has welcomed the newly appointed New Zealand High Commissioner to Solomon Islands Georgina Roberts.
“In a brief meeting at the Office of the Prime Minister & Cabinet yesterday, Roberts delivered her introductions to the Prime Minister in Te Reo Maori.
“The New Zealand high commissioner said she would continue to embrace the good relationship between both countries and to endure the true principles of friendship.
“I believe our mutual objective is to partner and to engage with the Government and people of Solomon Islands,” Ms Roberts said.
“Prime Minister Sogavare in response welcomed Ms Roberts and acknowledged the strong relationship shared between both countries over the years.”
