Last month the Prime Minister, the Honourable Manasseh Sogavare, was somewhat reflective and posed questions regarding the nation’s progression in the past 36 or so years since Independence in 1978. He said when visiting Gizo in the Western Province, that the Solomon Islands was one of the least developing nations in the world and the country was ranked in second place as most dependent on international aid.
It is no wonder then why the Prime Minister has quickly followed up on his reflections about the country by saying the time is right for tough decisions to turn the country around. He added that the Democratic Coalition fir Change Government (DCC) is committed to do doing a structural reform of the administration when it comes to constitutional reform.
