Your newspaper carried the encouraging story last week of a group of young people at Wagina in Choiseul Province, working as part of a rural programme organized by Youth@Work, in building coastal defences to protect their communities from the adverse effects of rising sea levels. It was reported that increased wave erosion on the windward side of Wagina had resulted in sand migration leaving the fossil corals bare and exposed.
