The Malaita province cattle project is about to begin just as soon as funds are received from the MPG to for the erection of fencing around the stockyard .
THE Malaita province funded cattle project at Atori in East Malaita is ready to go into its its fencing stage. This is after work on timber processing for posts for the farm was completed.
Already it has been claimed pasture establishment was done.during the last two months
The plan is to revive four main cattle projects in four regions throughout the Malaita province in the eastern and north-eastern regions.
It is understood that the re-establishment of the Atori cattle farm is part of the MPG’s plan to revive four main cattle projects in four regions in the province.
At the moment, the Dala cattle farm in the central region of the province is in operation; and work on the Atori farm in the eastern region is progressing and next there will be cattle projects for the south and northern regions.
