The Republic of China (ROC Taiwan) government has reaffirmed continuous infrastructure assistance for National Referral Hospital (NRH).
Quoting details of the support from the ROC government the Island Sun newspaper today, Thursday, featured the following article.
“This was confirmed by the Deputy councilor of Taiwan’s Embassy in Solomon Islands Oliver Weng during the launching of the new endoscopy suite for NRH this week.
“As a faithful development partner the ROC (Taiwan) government will maintain our ongoing support for the health sector and keep providing urgent medical assistance to the National Referral Hospital,” said Weng.
“He stressed healthcare’s are basic human rights while disease have no boundaries. A as member of the global community, Taiwan will continue to uphold the objective of health for all.
“Dr Rooney Jagilly Head of Department of Surgical at the NRH on behalf of the hospital says he lauded the Taiwan government for the donated funding to support infrastructure projects for National Referral Hospital.”
I recently wrote outlying the medical and technical support given by the Republic of China (ROC Taiwan government for more than 10 years, to my knowledge, to the Solomon Islands MoHMS and to the NRH in particular.
I express my ongoing thanks to the ROC government for helping medical services in the Solomon Islands and for the latest endoscopy suite at the NRH.
Yours sincerely
