A private medical centre specialising in providing eye care for the public has opened in Honiara.
The new clinic called ‘CDP Private Health’, the centre is operated by Dr Claude Posala
Dr. Posola is one of the country’s top eye specialists (Ophthalmologist) serving the country.
Although Dr Claude has received a number of overseas requests to go and work, he has decided to remain and serve the country through his specialised skills.
.CDP Private Health the only private clinic in the country providing eye specialist services.
.The private eye clinic It is now fully operational providing eye care services to the public.
Some of the specialists services CDP Private Health is providing are; tests for glasses, screening for eye conditions such as infections of the eyes, complications of diabetes and hypertension in the eyes.
Dr Claude who spent most of his time in study in Fiji said our eyes are vital for our everyday lives and looking after them is so important to us.
“There are no spare parts for our eyes so looking after them by regular check ups is appropriate,” he said.
Most of the specialised equipment has been imported from overseas and he has slowly installed it at the clinic.
He said, genuine polarised glasses just right for our climate are also available.
The clinic is located in the heart of the city at NPF Plaza room 12 and opens five days a week.
